MSQ Ventures is seeking outstanding candidates to join our cross border healthcare practice as an Associate. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a team operating at the center of the global life sciences industry with the goal of making innovative therapies available and accessible to patients in China. The position will support all aspects of our cross-border partnering and advisory process, including identification of high potential biopharmaceutical companies and assets, sourcing of investment or partnering opportunities in biotech, due diligence, financial modeling, and valuation.

Responsibilities:

• Supporting the team with research and analysis that aid company/product due diligence and deal execution
• Financial modeling, valuation, and other analyses

o Reviewing primary clinical trial data, conducting diligence calls with physicians and other key players in the pharmaceutical ecosystem, analyzing market databases, and synthesizing diligence into strategic recommendations and models

o Assisting in the preparation of presentations for key internal constituents (management team) and external constituents (clients, companies interested in in/out-licensing .

• Maintaining internal databases and create and publish periodic research or analytical content related to biotech sector and cross border partnering
• Opportunity to participate in transaction management

Requirements:

• Advanced degree in a biomedical science discipline 
• Track record of independent scientific research and defense of analysis and thesis, to be translated to analysis in biotech business consulting and investment
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in investment or consulting, work experience is preferred, but significant internship experience can also qualify
• Direct healthcare therapeutics experience or demonstrated interest in healthcare therapeutics

Location: remote, we will WFH till the end of this year because of Covid-19; US and China are both accepted
