Pryer Aerospace is seeking to fill the position of Check and Straighten Technician. . PRYER Aerospace is a leading provider of structural components, assemblies and kits to the aerospace industry. We specialize in the fabrication of complex sheet metal and machined components for commercial, corporate and military aircraft.
POSITION SUMMARY: Perform check and straighten process for the support of the operations in the department.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Use engineering requirements to check work pieces for compliance with customer specifications.
- Straighten work piece utilizing hand/power tools, anvils, various hammers, shrinker and stretcher.
- Support the company and department business goals and objectives for Quality, Cost, Delivery, Safety and Attitude (QCDSA).
- Function as a team member and under minimal supervision.
EDUCATION: High School diploma or equivalent.
EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of six (6) months related experience.
- Experience using basic hand/power tools.
- Ability to read blueprints and ability to proficiently use precision measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, height gauge, depth mic’s, radius gauges, and protractors.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as blueprints, engineering drawings, mylars, vendor configurations, purchase orders, and customer specifications.
- Basic Quality Requirements / ISO Awareness.
- Able to operate a forklift.
COMPUTER SKILLS: Basic computer skills.
