Job Details

Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints to cut materials to size
- Set-up and operate a HEM Saw to cut materials to required length or shape
- Install saw blades on the saw when necessary
- Set stop gauges for length of cut
- Material feed mechanisms and control saw speeds for type of materials
- Use ruler, caliper, square and fixed gauges to inspect completed materials
- Follow instructions given on assignments and ensure the work is subject to process and final inspection.
- Verify materials received are as ordered and route incoming items to appropriate locations
- Inspect jobs upon completion of shift and ensure work areas are clean
- Operate tools and equipment according to established safety procedures.
- Ensure that equipment is in safe operating condition.
- Operates over head crane and use of forklift.
- Perform other related duties as required
Required experience:
- Saw operating experience (1-3 years preferred)
- High School Diploma or GED
- Basic math skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Attention to detail
