JOIN HAMPEL OIL AS A DIESEL MECHANIC
Starting Pay - $36-$40/hour
What You Will Do:
- Work a typical schedule of 10:00 AM - 8:00 PM, Monday – Friday with weekend hours as needed
- Service our Kenworth and Peterbuilt trucks along with forklifts. This work will not only be on the chassis side of the vehicles, but a considerable amount of time will be spent working on pumping systems, lift gates, etc. There may also be times when field repairs are required
- Perform preventative maintenance, monthly inspections
- Perform and analyze diagnostic tests to find faults in vehicles
- Repair or replace engines, steering mechanisms, transmissions and braking systems ; check vehicle lighting systems and test drive vehicles to gauge performance
- Work with vendors for preferred pricing and reduction of unit maintenance costs
- Maintain detailed records of serviced vehicles
Job Requirements:
- Advanced knowledge of diesel engine components
- Diesel Mechanic Certification
- Valid driver's license
- Highly organized and detail oriented
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Team player and collaborator with a positive and constructive approach in all interactions
- Extraordinary work ethic and top notch customer service skills
- Seeking long term employment with a stable job history
