Headlands is seeking a Medical Assistant to work remotely and in located in Pacific Standard Time. The position involves the following:

• 30 hour workweek, day shift, 8am - 2pm PST; with potential to grow to a 40 hour work week, day shift, 8am - 5pm PST
• Assists with ordering and filing of lab results
• Assists with ordering and coordinating delivery of injection medications
• Assists with prior authorizations for medications
• Complete referral paperwork
• Processing of patient paperwork
• Scheduling peer review calls between medical provider and insurance representatives
• Assist with patient and medical provider scheduling between Headlands ATS and contracting facilities

Successful Candidate MUST have the following:

• Medical Assistant certification or diploma
• At minimum 1 year of customer service oriented employment experience
• At minimum, high school graduate
• A quiet and sustainable remote work location
• Proficiency with EMR software and electronic communication
• EXCELLENT customer service and people skills
• STRONG work ethic and reliability

Ideal Candidate will have the following:

• 2 + year experience as a medical assistant
• Experience working in a behavioral health setting
• Experience with patient and medical provider scheduling

Job Type: Full-time; 30 hours with potential to grow to 40 hours

Salary: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
