Our Mechanical Engineer develops, configures, implements, reviews and optimizes the organization’s manufacturing processes to safely produce quality product, efficiently, effectively and compliantly.

Key Activities and Responsibilities

• Act as a lead to all peers (engineers / Captains / Operators) to implement all standard operating procedures and resolve the malfunctions in the technical functionality of processes and production lines operations.
• Develop schematics, P&IDs (Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams), PLC ladder logic, and design new programs with the instruction of the engineering manager.
• Perform critical check of all production line operations and maintenance work by examining all about both physical parts of the production line and chemical processing; help both maintenance and production team improve their coordination and quality of work.
• Lead evaluation, testing, validation, and implementation of manufacturing processes with appropriate work instructions.
• Investigate process/product, skills, problems, and chemistry issues to improve results.
• Conduct design of experiment (DOE) and perform the engineering assignment that involves product design, process studies, production tooling, testing of materials, preparation of specifications, and research investigations.
• Develop small sprint projects for all kinds of short-term and long-term issues to find solutions, records the history of all RND experiments, and different solutions/options, and then review with the team to do more trial in bulk to implement.
• Support prototype sampling, and pre-production trials, defining rework processes, and routers work.
• Provide continual improvements to production efficiency through “hands-on” work with the team by using Lean manufacturing techniques.
• Work closely with all production teams to minimize/solve processes difficulties, manufacturing obstacles, and engineering faults.

• Be proficient in Microsoft Office applications software, particularly Excel.
• Be proficient in understanding racking and racking of parts in conversion coating.
• Be proficient with lean processing, time studies, down times, que-time to improve production.
• Have 2+ years’ experience in Conversion Coating, Chemical manufacturing, and Metal finishing such as anodizing or plating, with a solid understanding of the core concepts of manufacturing engineering support.
• Be proficient with metals surface science and techniques.
• Have a bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Operational Management, Mechanical / Mechatronic Engineering, or equivalent degree.
• Be able to pass a criminal background check and drug test.
• Experience with ITAR, NADCAP, ISO and ERP systems are preferred not required.

**Compensation for this role is to $70K/year PLUS a signing bonus of $5K paid over 90 days**
