Perfect Pavers of South Florida is a stable, continuously growing company with over 35 years in business in the pavers construction field. We are looking for a Head of Operations who can manage and keep under control all teams who manage company’s projects.

The Head of Operations is an executive level position, and is expected to be a strategic partner and carry out the planning, preparation, and coordination of our teams to deliver exceptional results for our clients.

This role is ultimately responsible for the general management of teams and supervisors, dispatcher, project managers as well as the day to day operations.

Main Duties will include but not limited to:

Position Requirements:

  • Have managerial experience (managing more than 20 people)
  • Be proficient in Microsoft office; Google Workspace (Gmail, Calendar, Sheets, Drive), Extra: Bluebeam, Procore, QuickBooks.
  • Contract reading and understanding experience. Knowledge how to read and response architectural/engineering reports, and legal letters (558 claims as well)
  • Understatement of job costing (budgeting)
  • Have experience in managing people and building work rules
  • Have project management skills
  • Ability to plan, predict, analyze and get results from subordinates
  • Ability to take into account many details
  • Development of rules, policies and instructions.
  • Hiring subordinates in your division
  • Managing divisional employees to achieve results
  • Create plans
  • Statistics analysis
  • Department budget control
  • Update and improve production in line with the goals and values of the company
  • Review a checklist for each project and make sure that each step from pre-construction part has been fulfilled
  • To get status reports for material procurement for all projects
  • Review the company's projects log and have an overall forecast when each of them is supposed to start.
  • Create a production plan for each project.
  • Every week review (budgets/PnL) for each project.
  • Every week check project reports: CO log. With information which CO is approved/pending/payed AIA log. Which bills been approved/pending

Bills paid/unpaid by month for all opened bills

  • Control that the information in the Procore for each project is up-to-date
  • Handle all extraordinary situations that rise from the projects
  • Weekly review cost report for all rental equipment
  • Every week to get material status for all projects
  • Supervise the work of the dispatcher and requests for materials
  • Control purchases and suppliers
  • Monitor and improve the operation of the Warehouse and Yard
  • Every week get information on % of work complete for each project
  • Every week to review the overall subcontractors pay report.
  • Monthly review cost report for all vehicles and equipment maintenance
  • Supervise and improve the work of supervisors and the home team
  • Maintain and develop relationships with сrews
  • Maintain and update equipment and fleet

Candidates should also have:

  • Experience with General Contractors
  • At least three (3) years experience as a construction Project Manager/Supervisor with construction-related experience.
  • Or four (4) year Construction management degree with at least (1) year field construction experience.
  • Minimum (10) hour OSHA - preferably (30) hour certified
  • Leadership skills, strong character, individual integrity.
  • Experience working on new commercial / multifamily projects desired.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform in these areas: estimating, scheduling, budgeting/cost control, ability to communicate effectively, both written and oral.
  • Strong background with PC-based programs including scheduling and spreadsheet applications including Excel and Word.
  • Valid driver’s license required.

Physical requirements include the following:

  • Must be able to inspect the jobsite, including working on high floors, climbing ladders, scaffolding, etc. to view progress of construction.
  • Ability to lift and carry 10-50 pounds occasionally.

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday, may be required on Saturdays as needed.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $100,000.00 per year
