POSITION : Environmental Services EVS Team Lead

Hourly Rate: $16.00 per/hr.

FLSA Status: Full-Time Non-Exempt

Two Kings Casino are hiring for an Environmental Services (EVS) Team Lead to join our team.
As an EVS Team Lead, you will maintain the highest level of cleanliness and presentation for
the property. Promote and maintain the utmost integrity and the highest caliber guest service to
all patrons/team member. Assist department Manager and Assist Manager with staff
development and training programs of EVS Attendants under the direction of the Manager,
Assistant Manager and Supervisor to ensure cleaning standards, maintenance standards, and set
up standards regulations. Assign EVS personnel their job duties, answers radios calls, update
Team Members work history as needed, and complete shift pass down/schedules. Comply with
all company policies.

Primary Purpose:
It is the primary responsibility of the Environmental Services Team Lead is to oversee the EVS
daily operations of the floor, Team Members, and daily department administrative duties.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Consistently offer professional, friendly, and engaging service
Responsible for overseeing daily operations associated with assigned shift.
Conduct frequent inspections of all public areas, office, back-of-the-house, and Casino in
order to maintain a high standard of cleanliness.
Working knowledge and understanding of scheduling and labor management
organizational skills to function effectively under time constraints, attention to detail,
effective training, coaching and strong leadership qualities.
Perform other job-related duties as requested.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Supervisory Responsibilities
Supervises and coordinates the day-to-day activities of team members engaged in cleaning
and maintaining premises, and the daily management of the EVS team members.
Directs EVS Attendants to ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of the interior and
exterior of the facility utilizing appropriate heavy duty or specialized equipment (extractors,
floor scrubbers, shampoo and polishing machines, scaffolding, lawn care equipment, etc.)
and proper cleaning chemicals as assigned. Includes routine cleaning, project cleaning
(stripping/waxing floors, shampoo/spot clean carpets, signage/light fixtures/vents, etc.),
Assist with training and coaching to all team members.
Inspects all public areas and team member areas and assess compliance with all established
standards as they relate to cleanliness, maintenance, safety, and security.
Report, as directed, any observed deviations to established standards.
Assists with completing and communicate work schedules for team members in accordance
with staffing guides/productivity requirements. Ensure only authorized over-time is allowed

to help control department and labor costs while maintaining quality product, presentation,
and service.
Assist in managing of supplies and consumption levels. Report any low inventory levels to
EVS Manager, Assistant Manager & Supervisor.
Ensure that all work standards adhere to outlined health standards.
Perform to established high standards other duties as requested, such as cleaning unexpected
spills, executing special requests.
Complete daily checklist from assigned inspection zones, record and report any maintenance
deficiencies to the facilities team.
Enthusiastically supports, actively promotes, and demonstrates superior customer service in
accordance with department and company standards and programs.
Ensures customer service standards are followed by all team members and addresses issues
as they arise.
Communicate information on events, and compliance guidelines by conducting pre-shift
meetings daily.
Responsible for proper cleaning, storage, and maintenance of department equipment and
chemicals.
Adheres to regulatory, safety, departmental, and company policies.
Supports safety and accident prevention programs (PPE, LO/TO, BBP, HAZCOM) and
informs supervisor/manager on duty of any safety problems or concerns.
Ensure all processes are followed as trained.
Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements:
High school diploma, GED, or comparable experience preferred, unless otherwise waived by
Human Resources Management.
Requires basic environmental services, floor/carpet care knowledge and understanding of all
equipment.
Must be able to work with chemicals, while maintaining effective working conditions with
other departments.
Must have excellent guest service skills.
Must be able to obtain a Gaming License.
Must be at least 21 years of age.

Physical Requirements
Frequent walking and standing for entire length of shift.
Frequent climbing of stairs.
Frequent bending, stooping, reaching, kneeling, and carrying.
Use of hands to operate cleaning equipment and complete scrubbing/washing duties.
Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and the ability to push, pull,
reach, bend, twist, stoop, stack, crouch, kneel and balance when performing job duties in
varying work areas such as confined spaces.
Visual acuity sufficient to inspect cleanliness of rooms and surfaces.

Working conditions include being regularly working with chemicals, occasionally works in
outside weather conditions, occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, and noise
level may be moderate to loud.
Qualification Requirements
Organizational skills to function effectively under time constraints,
attention to detail, effective training, coaching and strong leadership qualities.
Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and verbal forms.
Ability to make sound decisions immediately without supervision.
Perception and awareness of individual needs and the ability to handle all situations calmly
and professionally.
Ability to multi-task and work well in a fast paced, team-oriented environment.
Proficiency of computer software to include Outlook, MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint as
well as office equipment, i.e., telephone, copier, machine.
Effective listening abilities with strong judgment skills.
High School diploma or equivalent Associates Degree in Business or Hotel Management or
related field.
One (1) year of supervisory experience and/or in a similar casino resort environment.
