As a bilingual customer service advocate, you’ll take as many as 50 - 70 per day from customers who have questions about their health benefits. As their advocate, you’ll use your personality and our tools to help them through the health care benefits available to them, including helping them enroll in a new plan. This is no small opportunity.

Primary Responsibilities:

• 
  Manage the front desk at the retail sites to greet walk-in customers, handle registrations, and direct walk-in traffic
• 
  Support customer service-related tasks such as letter translations
• 
  Coordinate community events/projects/programs with the marketing and retail teams
• 
  Collaborate with the community outreach team to build relationships with Asian communities and promote our retail sites
• 
  Manage data and prepare reports for our retail site/sales

Required Qualifications:

• 
  Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university during the duration of the internship. Internships are not intended for graduating seniors
• 
  Bilingual fluency in Mandarin/Cantonese (speak, read, and write)
• 
  Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship, now or in the future, for employment-based work authorization (F-1 students with practical training and candidates requiring H-1Bs, TNs, etc. will not be considered)
• 
  Full COVID-19 vaccination is an essential job function of this role. Candidates located in states that mandate COVID-19 booster doses must also comply with those state requirements. UnitedHealth Group will adhere to all federal, state and local regulations as well as all client requirements and will obtain necessary proof of vaccination, and boosters when applicable, prior to employment to ensure compliance. Preferred Qualifications:

  Rising Senior status during the summer of 2023

  Customer service experience

  Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint

  Minimum 3.00 cumulative GPA
