Il Cervo, located next to the Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee’s historic Deer District, is set to open in the Spring of 2023 on the top of The Trade, Milwaukee’s premier luxury hotel. Il Cervo is currently looking for you, an experienced hospitality professional hoping to showcase their skills in a brand new 10,000-square foot, high-end Italian restaurant. Bar Manager roles will begin on Wednesday, April 19th. Training for all staff will be Wednesday, April 19th through Sunday, May 14th. We ask that all Bar Managers have open availability Monday-Saturday during these dates. We will accommodate scheduling conflicts on a case-by-case basis.

Title: Bar Manager

Work Status: Non-Exempt/Hourly

Reports to: General Manager

Position Summary: Manage the business aspects of the bar, such as keeping a current liquor license, negotiating supplier contracts, taking inventory, reordering supplies, managing budgets, and setting goals.

• Create and adjust staff schedules to meet restaurant needs
• Adhere to all safety and sanitation regulation
• Check customers identification to ensure they are of legal drinking age
• Maintaining inventory and bar supplies
• Making drinks in a quick and efficient manner
• A gracious, friendly, patient and helpful attitude towards guests
• Ability to multi-task and work in a very busy environment
• Flexible schedule with full availability on nights and weekends
• Working knowledge of food and beverage laws and regulations
• The bar manager is charged with the responsibility of ensuring that the bar is perfectly cleaned on a daily basis
  

Job Requirements:

• A thorough knowledge of mixology, wines, liquor and cocktails is required.
• Ability to utilize restaurant POS software
• Great attitude and positive outlook
• Strong customer service
• Ability to stand for a long time and move quickly
• Excellent oral communication skills required
• Relevant training or certificate
• Experience with full bar service including wine, beer and crafted cocktails
  

Qualifications:

• High School diploma/GED
• 2 + years working as a bartender
• Management skills are preferred
