Job description
The Assistant Program Manager, will assist with leading successful operations. Duties include planning, organizing, directing, controlling, and coordinating the efforts of a multi-site team.
The work to be managed by the Assistant Program Manager includes:
- Initiate, receive, review, and determine the accuracy and completeness of personnel security
- Prepare personnel security files (PSF).
- Perform database checks and inquiries, database and file maintenance.
- Order and receive background investigation (BI) products from the Office of Personnel
Management, contract service providers, and other federal agencies. - Respond to Customer Service (5000) line for general assistance inquiries.
- Conduct checks from automated repositories/databases in support of contract personnel assignments within Industrial Security.
- Perform general clerical functions within all PSU sections, as directed.
- Maintain the PSU file and mail room(s)
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
- Five years management experience with a minimum of two years’ experience managing 50-70 employees
- Previous experience in processing Federal Security Clearance applications required
