Position Title: Team Lead- Warehouse

Reports to: Department Supervisor

Location: Headquarters, Xenia, Ohio

Open: 365 days per year, typical shift is 6:45am to 3:30pm, with occasional overtime. Scheduled days will be Sunday-Thursday.

Compensation:

$18.95 an hour.

Job Summary:

Team Leaders assist Department Supervisor with ensuring that all necessary animal husbandry, department maintenance, and other work is completed correctly and as scheduled.

Team Leaders support all aspects of shipping/warehouse and maintenance within their department. Directing team members to tasks that need to be completed and deadlines.

Job Skills and Responsibilities:

Directs scheduled employees work so all essential tasks are completed.

Guides new tasks as jobs are finished and adjusts schedules as needed to accomplish tasks.

Inspects employee work for efficiency, accuracy, and completeness.

Understands and assists in overseeing department condition and department organization.

Trains new employees and provides guidance to current employees.

Cleans, disinfects, and organizes animals living areas to established schedules.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience Requirements:

Excellent interpersonal skills

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to motivate team to accomplish objectives.

Ability to remain organized.

Detail-oriented and consistent.

Ability to work efficiently and thoroughly on repetitive tasks.

Reliable and dependable in performing job-related tasks.

Basic ability in mathematics, reading, or writing.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to work in 85-degree to 90-degree temperatures and high humidity

Must have good motor skills for repetitive motions.

Prolonged periods (8 hours) of standing, lifting, and carrying materials

Must be able to exert 50 pounds of force occasionally and 25 pounds frequently and/or a negligible amount of force frequently.

Must be able to perform physical labor including reaching, twisting, bending, grasping, pushing, pulling, climbing, kneeling, crouching, stooping, and lifting.

Ability to learn to use telephone, hand tools, gardening/carpentry/kitchen tools, electronic equipment (e.g. Scales and digital thermometers, computer equipment), power equipment (e.g. Power washer, commercial dishwasher)
