The Boulder County Human Resources (HR) Department includes five divisions: Benefits, Classification & Compensation, Employee Relations, Payroll & Timekeeping, and Talent Acquisition.

The department is hiring a Talent Acquisition Supervisor to provide leadership, guidance, and support to the talent acquisition team. You and your team will work closely with hiring managers to understand their staffing needs and drive strategies to attract and retain a diverse and talented workforce. You will work in a fast-paced, collaborative, and fun environment. You are expected to exemplify the HR Department's values of innovation, inclusion, and integrity. This is an exempt, full-time position with a generous benefits package along with the added benefit of a hybrid working environment. You’ll be expected to work five days a week, with flexibility around the core hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. You will typically work onsite in beautiful downtown Boulder for an average of one day per week, while occasional travel to other work sites may be necessary.

Boulder County requires its employees to reside in the state of Colorado as of the first day of work. A job offer is contingent on passing a criminal background investigation.

Hiring Salary Range : $71,352 - $87,078 Annually

Tentative Hiring Timeline:
  • Phone Screening: Week of March 27
  • First-Round Interviews: Week of April 3
  • Second-Round Interviews: Week of April 10
  • Reference Check: Week of April 10

Examples of Duties

  • Lead the talent acquisition team and the recruitment process.
  • Supervise, counsel, and evaluate the work of the talent acquisition team.
  • Develop and implement recruitment strategies that are aligned with the department’s strategic priorities and focused on increasing diversity and inclusivity in the hiring process.
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand their needs and create job postings that attract a diverse and talented applicant pool.
  • Provide guidance and learning opportunities to hiring managers.
  • Lead efforts to build and maintain relationships with community partners and learning institutions to create a pipeline of diverse talent.
  • Analyze hiring data and produce reports to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Lead new employee orientation for new employees.
  • Provide technical recruiting assistance to employees, applicants, and the general public.
  • Complete special projects and related duties as required.
  • May be reassigned in emergency situations.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:


Boulder County is looking for well-qualified candidates to fill our positions. This position requires a minimum of 7 years of experience in HR areas of recruitment, retention, onboarding, employee relations, equity, diversity, and inclusion, in addition to a high school diploma or equivalent. Relevant post-secondary education may be substituted for experience on a year-for-year basis. Required experience includes one year in a supervisory or lead role.

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish. Applicants must demonstrate fluency at the time of the pre-employment screening process. Spanish language proficiency will be determined through standardized demonstration and written and oral testing.
