Position Summary:
Our busy Family Practice office is looking for a full-time receptionist to join our team. Candidate must have a positive attitude and strong communication skills, both written and oral. Excellent customer service and computer skills are required. Must be able to work well with people and have outstanding interpersonal skills. Must have excellent telephone etiquette. Must be able to multitask while working in a very fast paced environment. Ideal candidate is organized, possess good time management skills, and exhibits professionalism in dress and language. Punctuality and reliability are imperative. Must be a self starter and able to work independently, and work will in a team environment. Medical office experience is a plus, but not required. Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.


Essential Job Functions:

  • Responsible for opening and closing the office, according to office guidelines
  • Be present and punctual to all shifts
  • Patient check-in/out for multiple providers
  • Answering patient phone calls, questions and leaving messages for other staff
  • Scheduling appointments for multiple locations and providers
  • Collecting co-pays and balances at time of service
  • Data entry, maintains patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating personal and financial information
  • Must be a self-motivated individual, positive, happy and upbeat
  • Ability to adapt to change
  • Flexible with schedule

Qualifications:

  • Great customer service skills
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Phone experience
  • Previous medical office receptionist experience preferred but not required
  • Computer proficiency
  • Ability to multi-task in a busy, high demand work setting
  • Responds promptly to the needs of others and looks for ways to help and serve
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing day to day tasks

Hours: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 7:45am-5:30pm
