POSITION SUMMARY
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Perform site assessment with site audit and questionnaires, documentation review. Follow up on corrective actions.
- Work with R&D and QA Lab for sample evaluation.
- Work with QA inspectors to evaluate product quality.
- Assess potential risk, develop and implement product inspection and testing plan.
- Provide status reports routinely.
East Coast Plant
- Set up current LKK US plant QA programs at east coast plant.
- Track progress and provide status reports routinely.
Ad Hoc Projects
- Act as an active team member in leading continuous improvement projects. Analyze LKK’s processes, make suggestions and implement changes. Join routine discussion, gather data for trend analysis and improvement focus.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION, SKILLS and EXPERIENCE- Must have at least a B.S. Degree in Food Science or related field, and a minimum of 5 years of practical experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Quality Control/Quality Assurance lead or supervisor.
- Must be familiar with GMP, SSOP, and FDA regulation.
- Must have completed industry-recognized HACCP training course or equivalent experience in implementing or training HACCP.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001, GFSI (such as BRC, SQF) is a plus.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Ability to read and comprehend equipment manuals and electrical diagrams for set-up control loops.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
- Candidate must be able to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
LANGUAGE SKILLS- Must be able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Must be able to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Must be able to speak effectively in front of groups of customers or employees.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ideal candidate must compute rates, ratios, and percentages and draw and interpret bar graphs.
- Analytical mind is required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Regularly required to stand; use hands or fingers to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; walk, climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear; and taste or smell.
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Specific vision ability is required, including close and distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
- The position requires ability to travel.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- The individual is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; outside weather conditions; extreme cold; extreme heat; risk of electrical shocks; explosives; risk of radiation; and vibration.
- The noise level in the work environment is may be loud.
The noise level in the work environment may be high and individual who works in certain areas needs to wear proper PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
