Cambridge is a renowned organization involved in the development of a multitude of multi-family homes across the country, for over 20 years. We have an opportunity for a Purchasing Agent who has some purchasing and supply chain experience in the construction industry.

Purchasing Agent is tasked with locating products, services and vendors and negotiating terms, pricing and contracts. Manages vendor information and supplier performance. Verifies purchase requisitions by comparing items requested to the master list, and recommends alternatives. Provides purchasing planning and control information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends. Forwards available inventory items by verifying stock and delivering schedules. This individual will manage within the scope of project-specific budgets. Works closely with engineers, architects and other departments.

Qualifications:

• Strong knowledge of purchasing concepts and/or supply chain management
• Ability to produce, analyze and interpret financial reports
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business (or related field)
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in purchasing capacity with a residential and/or multi-family construction builder
• Attention to detail and accuracy and able to meet deadlines
• Effective negotiation skills; solid verbal and written communication skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $70,000.00 per year
