Summer 2023 CitySquare AmeriCorps Social Services Members

CitySquare places AmeriCorps members with organizations that provide housing programs, homeless outreach teams, employment support for youth aging out of foster care, food pantry services, financial empowerment and job training programs, refugee support, and more!

AmeriCorps
is a national community service program that allows thousands of Americans to give back to their community and get paid to do it! CitySquare AmeriCorps Summer 2023 members serve vulnerable populations in
Dallas, Balch Springs, Fort Worth, Farmer’s Branch, and Mesquite. During the interview process, we will share which specific positions are available.
Benefits of becoming a CitySquare AmeriCorps Member:
- Members receive a $4,500 living allowance (broken down and paid in twice-monthly installments during the term- $1,388 per month)
- Members receive a $1,718.25 education award at the end of their term (can be used for future tuition or student loans)
- Professional development training and networking opportunities!
- Some service positions may fulfill college and university internship requirements.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Available from May 15 – August 18, 2023
- Available 35 hours per week during business hours, M-F 8 am-5 pm
- U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident (Deferred action and temporary permanent resident do not qualify)
- Up-to-date COVID-19 vaccination may be required for some positions, depending on the host organization
- Able to access reliable transportation
- Able to pass a criminal background check
Preferred qualifications:
- Preferred one-year experience in a non-profit setting as a paid employee or volunteer, and/or experience in social work, human service, or a related field
