Property / Maintenance Manager
Job description
Arbors Management Inc. has an opening for a Property / Maintenance Manager located in Carmichaels, PA. This full-time position will be responsible for the management and maintenance of a 31-unit, section 8, housing complex. The ideal candidate will have experience managing rental properties and will also have skills in plumbing, electrical, drywall and painting repairs.
Pay for this position is based on experience and will be in the $45-55K range. Typical hours will be Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Applicants should be able to respond after hours for emergency maintenance issues as needed. Responsibilities of the Property Manager will include:
- Overall management of the rental process including:
- Applicant screening
- Building the tenant wait list
- Unit inspections
- Move in / out’s
- Lease renewals
- Evictions
- Performing basic to intermediate maintenance skills in:
- Plumbing
- Electrical
- Drywall / Painting
- Groundskeeping
- Ensuring vacant units are turned-over to be ready for the next tenant
Qualifications for the Property Manager position include:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 2 years of Property Management experience
- Ability to handle the maintenance repairs as listed above
- Section 8 / HUD experience preferred
- Ability to handle difficult situations with professionalism
- Have or be willing to obtain a PA Real Estate Salesperson License
- Must be able to pass criminal and drug screenings
- Must have reliable personal transportation
