Product operations and Applications Manager (This is an Individual Contributor role, no direct reports)

About the role

SecurityScorecard is hiring for a Product operations and Applications Manager.

  • The role has application administration responsibilities focusing on Atlassian products (Jira and Confluence), their integration with related applications, and extracting key metrics and insights on product performance from them.
  • You will also partner cross-functionally to deliver operational plans for the Product Organization, and uncover customer and competitive insights. You will also lead cross-functional projects designed to improve SecurityScorecard's product operational efficiency and readiness.

This is an exciting opportunity for a Product Ops person and application administrator who obsesses over delivering an excellent customer experience, achieving product objectives, and communicating with multiple cross-functional partners. This is an individual contributor role, reporting to the Director of Product Operations.

What you'll do

  • Collect customer product feedback from various stakeholders and sources - and ensure it is assessed by relevant owners and teams and a feedback loop is established.
  • Run aggregate metrics on customer feedback, product team KPIs and understanding of why those numbers are changing over time.
  • Administrate our company's Jira and Confluence and their integration with other company applications such as Productboard and Slack - with a bias toward speed and simplicity. This involves working with the other teams who leverage these platforms to evolve our reporting, workflow design, field creation, plugin management and more.
  • Design and interpret key performance metrics to deliver insights and recommendations to the Product team, through tools, analytics and market research as required (e.g. market, customer, sales insights/data points and other)
  • Build and own the process to capture, synthesize, and communicate insights on product data and customer feedback and provide analysis of the data on an ongoing basis; strong ownership on the quality and cadence of insight to inform product team operations and planning
  • Use data driven insights to identify areas of emerging product opportunities and risks
  • Work cross-functionally to structure problems, analyze opportunities, and develop solutions and implementable recommendations and get results through a detailed, data-backed process
  • Must have proven track record of ensuring customer feedback loop is tight between Go To Market and Product teams. This involves ensuring the customer gets an acknowledgement and feedback loop on their needs. The value of customer features developed by the Product team are communicated and marketed by the Go To Market team, and deliver the right customer value in the user experience.
  • Work with operations stakeholders throughout the org to collect, prioritize and communicate product-related challenges to be considered by product and engineering in future development
  • Work closely with product marketing and sales enablement team to ensure our sales team is ready with the resources, information and processes required to support new products (training, playbooks, documentation, resolution paths, FAQs, etc)
  • Develop, manage, and continuously improve processes for scale that help the product team meet its goals more efficiently and effectively
  • Drive the operational cadence for the group, measure and track critical product initiatives, and prepare the content for Executive Staff, Quarterly Business Reviews, and Board Meetings

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • 4+ years experience in Product Operations or a Data Analysis field in a startup or Enterprise SaaS product environment
  • 4+ years experience in Atlassian administration including including integration with other applications such as Google for Work, Slack and Zendesk
  • Proven experience driving large and sophisticated initiatives from framing the problem, conducting research/analysis, to building the business/operational plans through to driving execution/success
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) - to work with leaders across departments
  • Self-starter who demonstrates business savvy, has a strong sense of ownership, and who enjoys working in a dynamic, collaborative, innovative, high-growth environment
  • Ability to easily prioritize and complete multiple projects with deadlines
  • Knowledge of Enterprise SaaS software products, SDLC, and PDLC process is essential
  • Ability to distill large volumes of data into digestible and actionable insights is required; knowledge of systems like Tableau, Pendo, Salesforce, Jira, Productboard, etc. is strongly preferred
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience required
