About us

New Horizons Preschool & Learning Center is a growing childcare center in Palm Harbor, FL. We are professional, agile and our goal is to provide quality care for children 12 months of age to school age. There is a lot of room for growth in our growing facility.

Our preschool is looking for a team player who can assist us in providing a highly nurturing and stimulating environment. The successful candidate for the preschool teaching position will possess the interpersonal skills to develop strong relationships with students, parents, and co-workers. Additional responsibilities include implementing lesson plans, organizing extracurricular activities, and assisting other teachers in the classroom.

Responsibilities:

• Communicate with parents about child's progress and needs.
• Encourage children to play with each other, listen to each other, and cooperate with each other.
• Encourage children to explore the world.
• Assist children in becoming independent and self-confident learners.
• Play games with children that help them develop their physical, cognitive, social, emotional, and language skills.
• Promote literacy and numeracy development.
• Assign tasks that encourage the development of reasoning, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
• Model and encourage good behavior.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
