As the Production Planning and Control Associate Manager you will be responsible for planning all manufacturing, IRAD/CRAD, and capital builds at Santa Barbara Focalplane.

Responsibilities will include: Inventory control and management for production and consumables, manpower development and support for the PP&C department. The department encompasses production planning, engineering planning, shipping/receiving, property management, and stores. You will also manage third party materials support.

Santa Barbara Focalplane has third party support for chemical management and consumables. You would be involved in helping programs and finance project and budget headcount for the department this includes manpower and overhead both labor and materials management (including all recurring consumables at the Santa Barbara site). You will leverage your interpersonal skills to build and maintain effective relationships with Missiles and Fire Control Enterprise PP&C, Orlando Missiles and Fire Control programs, Ocala Missiles and Fire Control programs, external customers, and internal development project managers. You will support site continuous improvement activities (these include but are not limited to: cross function personnel development; performance management teams; Lean Six Sigma events; and inclusion events).

This is a high visibility position, reporting delivery performance to site leadership and production planning execution to customers on a frequent and regular basis.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Proficient with computer systems for MES and ERP as well as general computer skills with MS Office suite
  • A minimum 5 years experience in a production planning role in an industrial environment
  • Warehouse/stockroom management experience
  • Shipping and Receiving operations experience including secure and hazardous materials shipping protocols
  • Previous team lead or supervision of a direct team
  • Demonstrated strong communication skills, written and oral with experience in data presentation
Desired Skills:
  • Direct experience with SAP, Delmia/Apriso enterprise applications
  • Consumable supply management
  • Make and Buy BOM planning
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California or New York City is $117,300 - $221,100. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
