Job Description:

The Personal Lines Account Manager performs the essential functions of the position which include aiding Producers and Clients with service needs and making changes to existing accounts. The PLAM meets service and sales delivery standards, as well as performing essential functions to the quality and service standards defined by Atlantic Insurance Group.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provides technical support to Producer, implementing and executing coverage forms, quotes, and compliance
  • Completes applications in coordination with Producer; follows up to ensure timely receipt of quotes and policies
  • Orders and/or issues certifications, policies, endorsements, binders and other related items; verifies their accuracy; forwards them to client when necessary
  • Determines appropriate billing, and takes payment, if necessary
  • Processes Renewals in coordination with Producers 45 days prior to renewal date; performs account reviews every 2 years; uses marketing tools, resources, and proposals; presents additional products to round account
  • Reviews underwriters’ requests; verifies accuracy and facilitates corrections between clients and carriers, as needed; must complete as soon as possible as many requests are time sensitive.
  • Verifies policies and policy endorsements, facilitating corrections when needed
  • Processes incoming mail and phone requests, responding within 24 hours
  • Processes and follows up on cancellation requests to carriers to ensure accuracy and timely resolution
  • Assists clients in submitting First Notice of Loss, facilitates prompt response from carrier and follows up on claim status
  • Identifies exposure to loss and recommends appropriate coverage in coordination with Producer
  • Documents all correspondence in Applied Epic

Personal & Organizational Development

  • Sets priorities and manages workflow to ensure efficient, timely, and accurate processing of transactions and other responsibilities
  • Maintains a cordial and effective relationships with clients, coworkers, carriers, vendors, and other business contacts
  • Keeps informed regarding industry information; new products, legislations, coverages, and technology to continuously improve knowledge and performance
  • Interacts with others effectively by utilizing good communication skills, cooperating purposefully and providing information and guidance as needed to achieve business goals of the agency
  • Maintains License by taking required Continuing Education Classes

Qualifications:

  • Property & Casualty Insurance License (preferred)
  • Minimum of one year experience as a Personal Lines Insurance Account Manager.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
