The Registration departments at Parkview Randallia and Parkview Regional Medical Center are looking for amazing people to welcome and register our incoming patients.

Our hiring leaders at these locations conduct their interviews together so they can discuss the differences in their locations, work locations (inpatient, outpatient, Emergency), and shifts with applicants.

Summary: Under the direction of the Patient Access Services Manager/Supervisor/Lead, our Patient Access Services Representatives process registrations for inpatients, outpatients, and our emergency department patients by:

• Conducting professional patient interviews to obtain demographic, financial, and biographical information.
• Performing cashier duties, including collection of patient copays, at the time of service in the Emergency Department and estimated cost of services in outpatient areas, as well as receiving payments on patient accounts.
• Answering patient questions regarding estimate or outstanding balance(s) and providing patient with payment options or offering Financial Clearance assistance.
• Adhering to Parkview Health Standards of Behavior.
• Delivering quality performance and service excellence.

Education: Must be a high school graduate or equivalent with GED. Medical Terminology preferred.

Licensure/Certification: If assigned to Whitley or Warsaw, CPR (training provided by Parkview) is required within 30 days of hire.

Experience: Must have 2 years of clerical experience, including proficiency in Microsoft Windows and a minimum of two years of customer service.

Other Qualifications:

• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Must attend and pass the required 5-week Patient Access Services training class.
• Must be able to demonstrate a working knowledge of general computer skills and applications.
• Must demonstrate ability to multitask and work independently using critical thinking skills.
