We are looking for high quality, show up every day, on time to do the following essential functions.
Here are the essential functions:
1. Experience in manually loading and unloading semi-trucks
2. Experience using a manual and electric pallet jack
3. Detail-oriented - you want to do things right!
4. Ability to work a shift starting at 8am with a flexible end time. It could be between 5-7pm.
5. Ability to work M-F, with some Saturdays a possibility
6. Ability to work in a non-environmentally controlled warehouse
7. Ability to lift up to 60 lbs.
8. RELIABLE TRANSPORTATION IS A MUST
9. Commitment to be on time, every day

1. DETAIL-ORIENTATION
2. LEADERSHIP ABILITY (even if they are just starting out but can demonstrate when they have stepped up to lead something/someone
3. CUSTOMER SERVICE PASSION - this is a service business
4. I will add FLEXIBILITY. With a smaller company, everyone wears many hats and will be cross-trained!
I am looking for skills that will transfer. For Pickers & Packers, we've had good success with outstanding retail pros, folks from a long history at McDonald's, employers/experience where they can demonstrate customer service and dedication to a service process, etc.
. Pickers use a wrist-wearable and use a radio frequency (RF) scanner.
2. We've had successful folks from Hobby Lobby, among other warehouses.
3. People don't have to have held formal leadership positions, but they need to demonstrate a time(s) they lead a peer group or a group of fellow employees.
4. The Picker/Packer candidates don't have to be skilled in having hard conversations, only candidates you send for the supervisory positions. EVERYONE must be detail-oriented and be able to demonstrate that with specific examples.
5. Only Forklift Operators are in safety-sensitive positions.
6. Third interview question: "Tell me about a specific time you had to work using a specific process to ensure the success of your project or work assignment."
7. Background back 7 years. No theft, crimes with a gun, or crimes against people.
8. Drug screen is a 7 or 10-panel for all positions.
9. Dress code is casual. Don't show me anything I don't want to see. No political messages of any kind and no profanity. We have vendors and clients walking in our warehouse, so it still must look somewhat "professional casual". Shorts are ok as long as they meet fingertips and sleeveless is ok as long as everything is covered. Steel toes are not required.
10. Pickers come at 7am. Packers come at 8am. Finish time is FLUID; it depends on order volume. Do not give any set finish time.
12. Lifting no more than 50 lbs.
13. I will give you location when your staff lets me know who have and what position.
14. We will not have a temp work with batteries. We do the certification.
