Job description

We are looking for a dependable employee to work as an Ophthalmic Technician a few days and a Front Desk Receptionist a few days. The position is part/full time. As a technician you will perform various ophthalmic diagnostic tests for the doctors. As a front desk receptionist you will make handle the phones, make appointments, verify insurance coverage and other tasks.

Current staff will train for the position.

· Perform various Ophthalmic testing, tears breakup times.

· Document patient history perform visual acuity and glaucoma tests

· Help gather and document patient’s needs and concerns. Relay all important data to the physician.

· Acquaint patients with the procedures to which they will be exposed and inform them of the purpose of all tests.

· Exceptional interpersonal skills with ability to interact with patients/physicians.

· Superior communications skills and strong energetic customer service attitude.

· Strong problem-solving and time management skills.

· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize.

· Versatile skills to act independently and in a highly effective cross trained team setting.

· Excellent accuracy skills and attention to detail.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour

COVID-19 considerations:
We have installed plastic barriers between the front desk and patients. all possible equipment has plastic barriers attached. Staff has new cleaning regime. Patients, doctors, and staff must all wear masks. Air/UV purifiers installed in the office.

Education:

  • High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

  • Ophthalmology: 1 year (Preferred)
