NMC is currently recruiting for an OR Aide in the Operating Room. This position is a full-time (80 hours bi-weekly) position, hours are 6:30a-3p Mon-Fri.

• JOB SUMMARY:
  • The Operating Room Surgical Aide works as an integral part of the healthcare team, responsible for maintaining a safe environment in which quality patient care is delivered. He/she works under the direct daily supervision of the Operating Room Charge Nurse.
• PREREQUISITES
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent. VT Licensed Nursing Assistance license preferred.

Experience: One year experience in medical field preferred but not mandatory

Other: Basic computer knowledge and typing skills a plus. Excellent customer satisfaction skills. Must demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served. The individual must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span. He or she must be able to assess and interpret data about the patient's status in order to identify each patients age specific needs and provide the care needed by the neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and/or geriatric patient group.

Certifications: BLS required
