unspun is a robotics and digital apparel company building custom jeans for each consumer— on demand.

Our mission is to reduce global carbon emissions by 1% through automated, localized, and intentional manufacturing. Our revolutionary tech currently powers our award-winning brand (one of TIME's Best Inventions and FastCo's World-Changing Ideas) and a completely revolutionary method of additive and automated apparel production.

Recently included in Time's Best Inventions & Fast Company's World Changing Ideas, unspun aims to rapidly transition the trillion-dollar apparel world into one that is more intentional, inclusive, and efficient by focusing on the overlap between sustainability and profitability.

We're looking for a motivated, handy, and downright friendly human to help us open and run the new unspun HQ in Emeryville. This new headquarters is a wild combination of robotics, fashion, factory, and office space— and for all of our us, a home-away-from-home where we spend most of the day. You'll have complete responsibility (and autonomy) to keep the space (and our team) running smoothly, with lots of opportunity to jump into all sorts of additional work you’re interested in.

About You:

• You can wear (and love wearing) a lot of different hats.
• Multi-tasking & context switching are second nature to you.
• You're comfortable working with a power tool if needed, and aren't afraid to do-it-yourself.
• You're a team player- if we were better at basketball, there's probably some analogy here about the teammate that's super good at passing the ball and keeping the game moving fast.
• You’re excited about being onsite daily at our new HQ in Emeryville (67th & Hollis)
• You’re looking for a dynamic role that will let you jump into the tech & fashion world, try a lot of different things, and lead a massive project (opening a brand new HQ) from Day 1!
• You’re excited about working in a leadership or operational role down the road, and getting to work directly with our Chief of Staff & Executive team sounds like an awesome way for you to learn the ins and outs of running a venture-backed startup.

You Will:

• Have full responsibility for running our space & serve as mission control to the team.
• Manage team lunches, berkely bowl runs, home depot deliveries, and emergency "we need this one part before the electrical supply store closes" missions- whatever it takes to keep the ball moving. Hah just remembered that Apollo 13 scene... definitely relevant.
• Look for ways to improve all sorts of operational functions— factory flows, R&D facilities, meeting room coordination, how to lay out an office… we’re moving into an empty
• Find ways to help whatever team needs it most- supporting the hardware team with big test days, giving the fit team backup when they need someone to help process orders, and assist founders with surprise projects.
• Report directly to our Chief of Staff as a core member of our Ops team.

Ideal Qualities:

• Someone who is deeply passionate about leaving the world better than they found it
• Someone who has a car & is able to drive when necessary for errands (we have free onsite parking)
• Someone who considers themselves handy, is comfortable with basic power tools, and is able to lift, push, or pull up to 40 pounds
• Fluent in english, bonus points for speaking spanish as well
• Someone who loves to keep things organized, but also isn’t afraid of a bit of chaos
• Someone who’s excited about being part of an early-stage startup and eager to learn a ton

compensation: $55,000 - $62,000 // 0.01% - 0.02% equity
