Job description

Select Choice Transportation is currently seeking full time non-emergency medical transportation drivers and attendants who are compassionate, caring, reliable and responsible. Will be transporting wheelchair and stretcher clients to and from medical appointments, hospitals, dialysis centers, physical therapy, as well as cancer treatment centers, etc. in a safe, secure and professional manner. ****Must not have any suspensions on 7 year MVR.

Job Responsibilities

• Transporting clients to appointments, treatments and dialysis utilizing company vehicles in a safe and professional manor.
• Effectively communicate with dispatch regarding schedule progress and to receive instructions.
• Maintain a professional image and attitude in regard to clients and coworkers.
• Complete daily vehicle pre-trip and post-trip inspections and maintain vehicle cleanliness.
• Assist clients as needed to safely enter and exit the vehicle and to and from their destinations.
• Understand and operate GPS on cell phone.
• Understand and utilize transportation app provided.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Driver Qualifications and Education Requirements

• NO MOVING VIOLATIONS in the last 3 years, no need to apply if so.
• Must have previous customer service experience with a good track record of assisting customers in a thoughtful, caring and timely manner
• Must possess a valid Drivers License and NOT been suspended.
• Must have a clean background check and driving record and pass a drug screen
• Available to work varying hours between 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• Must have a stable work history with a track record of being reliable and ON-TIME
• Must have a high school diploma or GED
• Must be able to perform

Attendant Qualifications and Education Requirements

• Must have previous customer service experience with a good track record of assisting customers in a thoughtful, caring and timely manner

• Available to work varying hours between 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM
• Must have a stable work history with a track record of being reliable and ON-TIME
• Must have a high school diploma or GED
• Must be able to assist lifting members onto stretchers

Preferred Skills

• Previous NEMT experience
• Ability to work well under pressure
• Be able to multi-task
• Have a passion for helping others
• Excellent communication skills
• BLS or CPR certified

Physical Demands

This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, lifting patients on stretchers, pushing wheelchairs and crouching frequently throughout the day.

Days and hours of work vary by schedule. Early morning and an occasional holiday may be required as schedule demands.

Salary: Starting at $14.0 to $15.00 /hour
