Responsibilities:
- Instructs patients regarding magnetic resonance imaging procedures; prepares, positions, and manipulates patients to ensure appropriate placement for imaging.
- Selects appropriate imaging techniques, calibrates console and peripheral hardware, as required.
- Obtains images, produces film records and backups from desk to storage media, and transfers for desk to work station.
- Inspects for quality and completeness of exam.
- Performs quality assurance on magnetic resonance equipment and laser camera.
- Performs physical inventories and maintains clinical supplies.
- Provides instruction and guidance in magnetic resonance imaging procedures and equipment/facilities usage to staff and/or students in training.
- Ensures adherence to established PHS/PMG and department policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance programs, safety standards, HIPAA and compliance regulations.
- May assist in research and/or clinical subject scheduling.
- Maintains professional growth and development through seminars, workshops, and professional affiliations to keep abreast of the latest trends in the field of expertise
