Position Description ::
- Plan, schedule and monitor the material movement
- Required Technical background- Understand Engineering Drawings
- Closely interface with Singapore engineers, Product introduction engineer, program manager (Report to Singapore)
- Engage with Buyers, Planners, Material managers - Interface from US to Singapore
Job Description:
- Plans, schedules, and monitors the movement of materials through the production cycle to determine required materials purchases.
- Obtains materials using engineering and production schedules to maintain inventory at planned levels (i.e., just in time purchases).
- Resolves discrepancies.
- Need to manage complex and high level assemblies with big BOM (Bills of Material)
- Ensures material standards are met and non-conformances or variances are approved and/or minimized.
- Develops specifications for new contract orders.
- Gathers quotations, examines bids and makes awards.
- Monitors cost, schedule and scope of assigned subcontracts to assure best quality at best value.
- Evaluates vendor reliability and develops new supply sources where vendors and suppliers are no longer competitive.
Education and Experience Required:
- At least 05 years of experienced required
Top 5 Skills:
- Planning and Purchasing Experience highly required
- SAP Experience OR Enovia Software Experience required
- Needs Vendor Management Experience
- Understand how to interpret Engineering Drawing and BOM (Bills of Material)
- Understanding of Logistics Flow
- MS Excel Proficiency highly required
