COMPANY OVERVIEW:

Tek One Solutions is a well-established nationwide Low Voltage Staffing Firm. We focus on all facets of thelow voltage industry with a heavy emphasis on AV, Structured cabling, Access Control, CCTV/Security, IT & Fiber Optics. Employees are expected to be reliable, hardworking, and reflect a positive attitude. We seek self-motivated and reliable technicians who can work independently and find solutions to complete the job.

Responsibilities:

• Installation of CAT6, Fiber, and Paging Cable throughout the facility
• Installing, maintaining, and repairing cable infrastructure.
• Performing maintenance on existing cabling systems.
• Pull cables, such as copper, twisted pair, fiber optics and other cable types through conduit, above ceilings
• Testing newly installed or relocated cables according to company specifications.
• Identifying and removing redundant cabling.
• Installing of cable support structures such as j-hooks, cable racks, and innerduct.
• Ensuring all cables are neatly tied and bundled according to safety regulations.

Requirements:

• 2+ years of previous work experience as a cable technician.
• Understand Bicsi standards
• Experience using scissor and boom lifts
• Ability to work in cramped spaces.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and fix any problems that may arise.
• Ability to work at heights.
• Ability to identify independent colors and learn color codes.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract, Temporary

Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 10 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
• Day shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Houston, TX: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
