Momentum IT Services is currently looking for a Level II IT Technician to provide remote and onsite technical support as well as planning, scheduling, and execution of new customer on-boards and current customer projects. We are looking for an individual who is eager to learn, highly customer-focused, patient, an effective communicator, self-initiating, has a positive attitude, and is able to prioritize, schedule, and execute tasks without micro-management. The role will involve mid-level system administrator skills. The ability to represent our company in a professional manner and to communicate with business owners, as well as customer staff, is critical to success in this position.

Essential Expectations

  • Run timers and track time each day.
  • Create, schedule, and work to resolve service tickets and projects each day.
  • Compose logical and grammatically correct written summaries of performed work each day.
  • Help ensure day-to-day operations of customer's IT Infrastructure.
  • Answer inbound helpdesk calls as necessary.
  • Advanced installation, configuration, and support of the Windows operating system and various windows-based customer applications.
  • Advanced installation, configuration, and support of Windows server administration roles (Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, DFS, Print Server, Group Policy, File Sharing, File & Folder Permissions).
  • Advanced installation, configuration, and support of the following hardware device types: servers, workstations, monitors, switches, routers, firewalls, printers, scanners, faxes, VoIP phone systems, video surveillance systems, Wi-Fi systems, NAS devices, Backup systems.
  • Advanced Virus and Malware remediation.
  • Advanced documentation skills of customer networks.
  • Technically and relationally manage complex problems.
  • Help ensure successful onboarding of new customers and their IT Infrastructure.
  • Provide a wide range of technical, quality control, and testing tasks.
  • Any other task or duty as assigned or required.

Preferred Certifications

  • A+, Network+ Certifications (Required)
  • MCP, MSCA/MCSE

Preferred Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.

Preferred Work Experience

  • Networking familiarity
  • Networking/switching hardware
  • Hands-on experience and a deep understanding of ALL of the following:
  • Microsoft Windows Desktop OS
  • Microsoft Server OS
  • Microsoft Active Directory
  • Microsoft 365 Exchange
  • Microsoft Office Products
  • Microsoft Remote Desktop Services
  • Microsoft Hyper-V
  • VoIP Phone Systems
  • Mac OS X (Preferred but not required)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday
