Role and Responsibilities

The Learning Coordinator & School Liaison (LCSL) facilitates the school-based efforts of Paramount Schools in South Bend, Indiana. By building authentic community, parent, and student interest, this employee will oversee recruiting efforts and learning hubs in South Bend and assist in community efforts supporting the opening of a Paramount School in South Bend in the fall of 2023

The administrative duties of the LCSL include:

  • Overseeing the school storefront in the University Park Mall
  • Facilitate learning hub and activities for virtual students
  • Direct and participate in community recruitment efforts
  • Maintaining steady communication with school administration to ensure program support

The daily responsibilities of the LCSL include:

  • Meeting with school leaders to discuss daily operations.
  • Meeting with other local team members for scheduling and site coverage.
  • Managing the PSOE storefront and walk-in traffic.
  • Overseeing all learning hub operations.
  • Making phone calls to potential school parents and families.
  • Meeting with potential school families in their home, or in community locations outside of Paramount School locations.
  • Providing support for potential school families by sharing resources to encourage and assist families in academic success.
  • Working with local community partners to match resources to the needs of potential families.
  • Attending local community meetings.
  • Become an ongoing, reliable presence in the local community through attendance at local events, and other gatherings in the wider community where school involvement may lead to future enrollment.
  • Engaging with local families on every level: learning the needs of families and working to support families, helping them feel connected to the school.
  • Other tasks and duties as needed to support Paramount School of Excellence

Requirements

  • College degree or technical certificate
  • Experience in education
  • Experience with technology
  • Prior leadership or management experience
  • Ability to pass a national background check

Duties are normally performed in and out of a school/classroom environment. Duties may be performed on assignments away from school. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The LCSL works a standard workweek, but that may include evenings, weekends, and any additional hours necessary to accommodate activities such as committees, fundraisers, public meetings, and representing the organization at public spaces.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $35,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
