Iowa Pathology Associates, P.C. is seeking a talented and highly motivated Histology Technician to perform a full range of services in a surgical pathology laboratory. Position Hours: Full Time Position Monday-Friday 5am-1pm

Responsibilities:

• Prepare tissues for gross examination, process and embed tissue.
• Operate a microtome and/or cryostat to produce slides from FFPE blocks.
• Perform routine and complex histopathology techniques, including H&E and special stains, immunohistochemistry and in situ hybridization, in an accurate and timely manner.
• Perform QC where required.
• Maintain proper documentation including proper specimen handling, labeling and preparation of worksheets.
• Ensure full regulatory compliance, providing test results with the best possible quality.
• Apply knowledge of good laboratory practice on a daily basis.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Associate's degree from an accredited college/university
• No prior histology experience is necessary
