Job Summary:

Join the culinary team at Kneads Bakeshop, a new and exciting dining destination. We are looking for a Junior Sous Chef to bring their passion for cooking and creativity to the kitchen. As a Junior Sous Chef, you will work closely with the Executive Chef to craft and execute a menu that showcases the freshest ingredients and bold flavors. You will also have the opportunity to lead and mentor a team of cooks and contribute to a positive, high-energy kitchen culture. Role & Responsibilities

Assist in menu planning and food preparation

Supervise kitchen staff and ensure that all dishes are prepared to the highest quality

standards

Maintain inventory and order supplies as needed

Ensure that all kitchen equipment is properly maintained and serviced

Train and mentor junior kitchen staff

Work closely with the Executive Chef and Sous Chef to ensure that all food safety

guidelines are followed

Participate in kitchen meetings and staff training

Qualifications:

1-2 years experience in a similar role

Culinary arts degree or equivalent experience

Strong knowledge of kitchen equipment and food safety guidelines

Strong leadership and mentoring skills

Excellent communication and organizational skills

Must be able to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment

Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends

Physical Demands:

Must be able to stand for long periods of time

Must be able to lift heavy objects (up to 50lbs)

Must be able to work in a hot, noisy kitchen environment

This position is full time and may require to work in the evening and weekends
