This position is approved for 80 hours every two weeks, is benefit eligible! To learn more about the benefits we offer at Fairview including medical, dental insurance, PTO, 401k/403B! This position will require that you are available Monday – Friday; start time 9:00AM or 9:30AM to 5:30PM or 6:00PM.

Responsibilities/Job Description:
Under the direction of the Imaging Manager, The Imaging Data Services Coordinator is responsible for the flow and exchange of information related to patient imaging data services and ensures all aspects of imaging data archiving services are of high quality and accurately and timely delivered. Responsibilities include support of data imaging services for research studies, retrieving and archiving imaging studies following policy for release of patient imaging information.

  • Exceptional customer service for patients, providers, clinics, outside healthcare institutions and imaging staff for their imaging data services.
  • Proactively fosters and supports a culture of teamwork and collaboration.
  • Optimally prioritizes work to ensure patients’ imaging data requests are met timely and works in a flexible environment to meet work requirements.
  • Effectively utilize critical thinking, problem solving and expert judgement skills to resolve complex situations.
  • Trouble-shoots issues with equipment before the PACS admin is called to address.
  • Mentors, educates, and orients Imaging team members. Provides training to Imaging assistant staff to perform routine imaging data services.
  • Assist Technologist staff to use the data imaging services burners, gives accurate instructions and training as needed for simple imaging archiving tasks. Provides instructional guides for staff. May build simple ‘how-to’ guides for Tech staff.
  • Tracks and coordinates efficient inventory levels of imaging blank DVD supplies, shipping folders and orders imaging data services supplies under the approval of the Imaging Manager.
  • Provides services for accurate flow of imaging studies through the PACS VPN, timely matching to the patient’s Medical records.
  • Stays current with updates to imaging data systems programs with burners, upload system software changes to maintain smooth flow of imaging transmission work.
  • Research driven workflow: Manages the complex equipment systems and software foundations to transfer research imaging studies to secondary systems to anonymize, organize, re-identify as research studies, and transmit to the research facility coordinator.
  • Coordinates the multifaceted and complex research study programs and processes for delivery of imaging studies according to the specific individual research requirements.
  • Follows the outside read process and transfer to Staff Radiologists.
  • Support Imaging Data Services DVD burner equipment issues: able to perform troubleshooting solutions, with communication to PACS team, Fairview Imaging equipment services, and outside vendors for solutions support online or service.
  • Performs routine imaging data services duties.
Qualifications:
Required:
  • Associates Degree in a healthcare or business-related field Or 5-7 years of experience in a similar role
  • 2-5 years of experience in a related field
Preferred:
  • Additional education in Imaging or business-related field
  • 5+ years
