The Best Western Premier Louisville is seeking an efficient, organized, attentive person to take leadership of our housekeeping team. We are looking for a leader by example with exacting standards who can use effective interpersonal skills not only to give direction but to remain open to ideas and feedback. As part of a high turnover industry, you will also be flexible, adaptable, and inventive, with the ability to maintain a unified and collaborative team atmosphere. You will ally with our management team to implement and maintain practice & procedure to provide our valued guests with sparkling clean rooms and extraordinary service. Your dedication to excellence will ensure return guests and drive revenue.


Responsibilities include:

  • Direct and inspect the work of housekeepers, housepersons, and laundry attendants to maintain the highest levels of cleanliness and customer service
  • Schedule employees to improve efficiency
  • Accurately maintain inventory of chemicals, linens, and other housekeeping supplies and order supplies as needed
  • Hire outstanding employees
  • Mentor employees to exceed standards for work quality, customer service, and safety
  • Multitask and prioritize to adjust to changing circumstances and complete multiple assignments despite interruption
  • Work with other members of management to continuously evaluate and refine processes and performance
  • Assist in the housekeeping and laundry departments as necessary


Qualifications:

  • You have at least two years' hotel management or supervisory experience; other forms of management, while valuable, will not be taken into account
  • You have a high school diploma or GED
  • You can demonstrate experience successfully leading and training a team of employees
  • Knowledge of OSHA & local safety requirements & practices
  • General knowledge of cleaning chemicals and associated safety requirements; knowledge of effective cleaning techniques and accepted industry standards
  • Computer proficiency to include Microsoft suite and Google
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
  • Lift and carry up to 20 pounds, push up to 50 pounds
