General Summary

The Support Specialist for G.R.O.W (Generations Removing Obstacles Willfully) demonstrates an understanding of MSV’s mission, vision, and core values. GROW is an interdepartmental, generational economic sustainability and mobility focused MSV approach. Alongside The Program Manager, the G.R.O.W Support Specialist is responsible for assisting in the development, implementation, evaluation, and improvement, of the “GROW approach”. Through this pilot, you will thoughtfully provide targeted, holistic generational services while tracking participation across the organization via human capital, social capital, and financial capital.


Duties & Responsibilities


Impacting a poverty mindset through holistic personal, professional and career development awareness raising, resource provision and support across generations.

  • In coordination with the Program Manager, oversee the Universal Intake System that allows MSV programs to track data and participation.
  • Work closely with MSV Direct Service Staff to ensure the G.R.O.W approach is implemented in all services distributed to clients.
  • Strengthen participants’ access to additional services, including referrals and/or bringing services on-site.
  • Work with G.R.O.W clients to develop and implement SMART Goal writing and quarterly accountability sessions
  • Cross program resource engagement
  • Track and input Data for Universal Intake form
  • Create and promote opportunities for participant feedback regarding program services.
  • Complete required internal and external reporting in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Participate in ongoing education and professional development.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Job Requirements

Experience/Education

At least 2 years of college and/or 3 years in related fields required.


Qualifications

Creative and motivated self-starter. Excellent written, verbal, computer, and presentation skills. Proven organizational and follow-up skills. Proven ability to work independently and as a member of a team. Comfortable working with diverse clients, volunteers, staff and other service providers. Ability to handle a range of client situations calmly, professionally and respectfully. Ability to represent the agency to the public.


Language

Ability to read, speak, and write English proficiently. Bilingual is a plus.
