Job Title: Forestry Maintenance Worker
General Statement of Duties:
This job description is not all inclusive. The duties and responsibilities are subject to any changes deemed necessary by the Brookings Park & Recreation Department to ensure the safe and effective management of the facility and program offered.
Essential Duties
- Assist with tree maintenance (tree trimming, removal, etc) for the City of Brookings.
- Operates City-owned equipment and hand tools.
- Attends all safety trainings as assigned.
- May be specifically assigned to an area of responsibility.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum of 18 years of age
- Relevant education or prior experience in golf course or park maintenance, park management, horticulture or forestry desirable for some positions.
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check
- Must have a valid drivers license
