Gelfand, Rennert & Feldman, a top entertainment business management firm, is seeking a Film & TV Royalty Audit Manager to join our team of dedicated professionals.

Location: This position can be based out of Century City (CA), Encino (CA), Wilmington (DE), Nashville (TN), White Plains (NY), NYC, or remote.

Overview of Role: The primary responsibility of this role is to oversee all aspects of the royalty audit lifecycle for all assigned clients.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all aspects of film and television royalty audits relating to Feature Film and Television properties
  • Review, interpret, and summarize contracts
  • Correspond with clients and audited companies
  • Prepare written audit reports, including supporting schedules and calculations
  • Assist in audit settlement negotiations
  • Assist directors with budgeting for anticipated audit engagements
  • Assist directors with special projects as needed
  • Review the work of staff analysts
  • Train staff analysts in all areas of audits and the film and television business
  • Manage assigned staff members, including administrative tasks, performance reviews, and availability for questions and concerns

The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 4+ years of previous work experience conducting film and TV / profit participation royalty audits
  • Able to understand complex legal contracts in order to identify potential issues
  • Expert knowledge of Excel, including Pivot Tables and formulas (such as VLOOKUP and SUMIF) – bonus points for experience with Power Pivot and Power Query
  • The candidate must also:
    • Be a self-motivated and detail-oriented analytical thinker
    • Possess excellent verbal/written communication skills and reading comprehension
    • Understand basic mathematical and accounting principles
    • Work well independently and in a team environment
    • Be eager to learn new skills and concepts
    • Want to help creative artists

This is an exempt position. Employee compensation is determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to, employee education/training/credentials, employee work experience, work location (including if the employee will be remote, hybrid, or fully in-office), the scope and responsibilities of the role, internal peer equity, and market considerations. The expected base compensation hiring range for this position is $3,692.00 to $4,673.00 bi-weekly.

Employees may also be eligible for GRF’s discretionary performance bonus and profit-sharing programs.
