Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is seeking Entry-Level and Associate Fabrication Specialists to join multiple teams based in Salt Lake City and West Jordan, Utah.

These positions will support Composite or Metals Fabrication and Assembly. Successful candidates will have high attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work well within a team.

Position Responsibilities:

• Performs tasks to support either composite or metals fabrication and assembly

• Performs machine set-up, machining, sheet metal fabrication and extrusion, tube bending and fabrication tasks.

• Performs composite lay-up, fabrication and assembly tasks.

• Assembles precision mechanical and electro-mechanical components.

• Assembles, repairs, modifies and installs various power plants and drive trains.

• Performs soldering on electronic and avionics products.

• Assembles and installs wire harnesses and avionics products.

• Prepares test articles, fixtures and data collection devices to perform various tests.

• Performs basic organic chemical conversion and paint preparation.

• Applies routine organic coatings for corrosion protection and appearance requirements.

• Works on articles of moderate complexity using established drawings and requirements.

• Willing and able to work any assigned shift schedule (1st: typically 6:45am-3:30pm | 2nd: typically 3:30pm-12:00am).

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):

• Able to work any shift based on the needs of the operation

• Able to lift up to 35 lbs

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• 1+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

• 1+ years of aerospace, fabrication, or manufacturing experience

• Experience with Lean Principles (Continuous Improvement, Standard Work, and 5-S tools)

• Experience working in a diverse and collaborative team environment

Typical Education/Experience:

Entry-Level (Level A): Typically acquired through basic education (e.g. high school diploma/GED).

Associate (Level B): Typically acquired through basic education (e.g. High School diploma/GED) and typically 1 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. vocational school/Associate).

Relocation:

Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

Summary Pay Range for Entry-Level (Level 1): $38,250 - $51,750

Summary Pay Range for Associate (Level 2): $46,750 - $63,250
