Job description

Summary
The setup specialist is responsible for preparing and assembling new equipment and installing attachments. In addition, the setup specialist is responsible for washing and detailing equipment.

Essential Functions

• Assembles, washes, and details equipment.
• Reads and interprets blueprints and schematics to determine work methods or sequences.

• Operates and performs tests on equipment to ensure assembly was completed successfully.
• Records time spent on jobs by entering time punches in timeclock system.
• Reviews work orders assigned to assess the nature and scope of the work required.
• Records details of all work performed in writing.
• Creates pick lists of parts needed to complete work and requests parts from the parts department.
• Inspects new equipment to verify it is ready to be delivered to a customer or put on display.

• Advises service manager if issues arise with completing a work order accurately or on time.
• Discusses and answers questions regarding work performed with the service manager and/or customers.
• Attends training courses to maintain certifications as required by the company and/or manufacturers.
• Maintains and cleans work areas.

• Assists with other duties in the shop as requested.

Required Education and/or Experience
High School Diploma or equivalent
Up to 1 year of related experience

Preferred Education and/or Experience
Associate’s Degree or 2-year Technical Degree in a related field
1-3 years of related experience

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $22.00 per hour
