PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Coordinate Company mapping between different departments within the company. (e.g., Engineering, Legal, Risk, Marketing)

· Acquire, integrate, manage, analyze, and output Geospatial data from various data sources with different mapping datums, different coordinate systems, and different degrees of accuracy to produce various complex data driven reports and graphical displays.

· Prepare maps and drawings for various types of engineering applications

· Create, update, and maintain complex drawings, maps, exhibits, using AutoCAD Civil 3D software to support company projects for various departments to include FERC filings, permit drawings, construction maps, legal exhibits, etc.

· Utilize integration of GIS & CADD to produce Horizontal Directional Drilling & Specialty Design Mapping

· Research various Company, public, and private record sources to provide data for improving existing company databases, preparing competitive project maps, assisting with FERC filings, and in response to various internal and external data requests

· Occasional travel (day trips) for field work to assist project engineers, environmental team and survey manager as needed

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• A high school diploma or equivalent
• Prior CAD experience (AutoCAD Civil 3D) training and experience
• Competent user of various PC/Internet based software including Microsoft Word and Excel
• A valid driver's license along with a clean driving record is required
• Must be self-motivated and possess exceptional time management skills and the ability to consistently meet project deadlines
• The ability to interface well with others, communicate with supervisors, customers and field personnel and work within a team environment is essential

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

· Previous experience working as an Engineering Technician or GIS Analyst

· An Associate’s degree or a Technical degree with a focus in Cartography, GIS, or Computed Aided Drafting and Design

· ArcGIS Experience and/or Training

· Experience producing maps and/or drawings for a Survey Firm or the Oil and Gas industry is a plus

· Experience working with local, state, or federal government agencies is a plus

The rate of pay for the Engineering Technician will be commensurate with experience.
