JOB SUMMARY
Part time position with duties of washing dishes, pots and pans and cleaning and sanitizing of dishwasher, 3 compartment sink, dish room, and carts.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Adheres to dining services safety guidelines with use of personal protective equipment.
- Works independently and manages time to ensure all job duties are fulfilled in a timely manner.
- Operates, cleans and maintains equipment including carts, dish machine and 3 compartment sink.
- Completes all logs related to dishwashing.
- Retrieves meal and bus carts from Day Centers A, B, and C.
- Washes dishes, pots and pans.
- Cleans and sanitizes the dish room after dishes are done. Duties include cleaning equipment, work surfaces, and other light sanitation tasks.
- Has a team player approach to work.
- Follows personal standards of appearance in accordance with the Care Resources Dining Service Uniform Standards which includes neat, clean clothes and apron, non-slip shoes and hair net.
- Attends staff meetings and in-service programs as required.
- Performs job duties in accordance with the mission and values of Care Resources.
- Understands resident rights and incorporates them into daily practices.
- Supports and models by conduct the Care Resources Code of Conduct to participants, employees and public.
- Meets Care Resources standards for confidentiality.
OTHER DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assists with the maintenance of department equipment and supplies.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- The job requires knowledge normally acquired through a high school diploma or equivalent.
SPECIAL SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED:
- Ability to read and understand the English language.
- Interpersonal skills necessary to communicate in a pleasant and effective manner with staff.
- Ability to meet Care Resources/Holland Home’s standards for attendance.
- Ability to meet the general health requirements as set forth by the policies of Care Resources/Holland Home, which includes a physical examination, TB testing and seasonal flu shot.
MENTAL & PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time without sitting and to reach, stoop, bend, kneel and/or crouch as needed.
- Ability to lift and carry packages/boxes/supplies weighing up to 50 pounds.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Normal dish room environment.
- No weekends or holidays.
