Job Summary and Qualifications

The Director of Mom/Baby provides leadership through planning, organizing, coordination, monitoring, and evaluating the care provided for patients. The Mom/Baby Director performs duties consistent with the scope of practice and functions within the philosophy and overall plan of care at Sky Ridge Medical Center. The Director collaborates with senior management, medical staff, and other department directors to create a climate and structure that encourages staff to set and achieve goals in providing quality and cost-effective services to both internal and external customers. Accountable for the implementation of an effective and continuous program to measure, assess and improve performance. Responsibilities include fiscal, human resources, quality, risk management, operational functions, strategic planning, and development of staff. The Director assumes twenty-four hour responsibility for patient care and a leadership role with the health care team in planning and delivering patient care. Knowledgeable of healthcare trends and integrates into strategic planning for department(s). The Director displays positive support for the values and mission of Sky Ridge Medical Center.

What qualifications you will need:

A. Licensure/Certification/Registration: current Colorado – Registered Nurse Licensure

B. Education & Training: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. 4-yr Bachelor degree required and Post-Graduate degree preferred. Current BLS Certification.

C. Experience – Minimum of five years clinical experience. Minimum of three years of management experience preferred.

D. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Provided safe and appropriate patient care within the standards of nursing practice at Sky Ridge Medical Center. Display appropriate judgment and problem solving skills. Communicate positively and professionally with all internal and external customers. Demonstrates known leadership skills, excellent interpersonal skills, ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities, and a positive attitude.

This role requires you to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 based on local, state and /or federal law or regulations (unless a medical or religious exemption is approved).
