Position Purpose:

The Director of Marketing is responsible for creating innovative marketing strategies that will build our brand, leading to increased awareness, fundraising revenue, relevance, and respect among our target audience. S/he will execute success in traditional and innovative campaigns across the broad spectrum of todays marketing channels. S/he will lead with strategic, creative, and financial acumen as well as a strong business intellect to take our organization to the next level. This position supports all marketing initiatives for Charis Bible College.

Essential Duties:

  • Develop the marketing and campaign strategy in line with Charis goals and objectives.
  • Develop, mentor, lead and direct the Marketing department to include project management, web development, digital marketing strategies, and content creation.
  • Budget, plan, manage, communicate, coordinate, and measure results of all marketing and publications in line with management goals.
  • Overall responsibility for brand management and corporate identity.
  • Continually conduct marketing research, staying abreast of marketing trends.
  • Collaborate with the marketing and publications teams to create and publish powerful, engaging, and accurate visual and written content for marketing, event promotions, and new product launches.
  • Management of ongoing, current social media channels and content
  • Proactively coordinate, communicate and work with AWM and Charis leadership, Administration, Conferences, third-party vendors, and other departments to achieve results.
  • Review and approve all marketing requests from Charis.
  • Provide executive summary, goals, priorities, updates, discuss and establish priorities
  • Monitor, analyze data, and report on the effectiveness of marketing communications and campaigns.
  • Keeps up to date with emerging technologies and maintains technical knowledge of marketing.
  • Modify or redirect business intelligence strategy.
  • Oversee and direct the efforts of the marketing team.
  • Develop segmentation, competitive analysis/market intelligence, prospecting, lead generation, product and market development, pricing, promotions, communications and budgets, sales force effectiveness, strategic planning, services units, and revenue retention and growth.
  • Develop and measure key metrics around the business including user acquisition, conversion rates, engagement rates, satisfaction, and renewal rates.
  • Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Experience with digital marketing forms such as social media marketing and content marketing
  • Proven marketing campaign experience
  • Ability to design and execute effective new market launch strategies
  • Demonstrated performance in strategic goal setting and planning.
  • Demonstrated leadership and vision in managing staff groups and major projects or initiatives.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and leadership skills with a team focus.
  • An analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving abilities.
  • Able to manage, train, and effectively lead in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to multitask and perform under tight deadlines.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and desktop publishing programs, Adobe Creative Suite programs, and DaVinci Resolve.

Requirements:

  • Must have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
  • Must sign Statement of Faith.
  • Bachelors degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field is recommended.
  • Project Management certification (PMP or CAPM) via PMI is a plus.
  • Charis Bible College student or graduate is preferred.
  • Must pass all required checks.

Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of well-rounded marketing experience in a similar role
  • 5-10 Years experience in management or project management environment.
  • 3-5 years of leadership experience with the ability to motivate and provide professional development to a team of 3 or more direct reports
  • Experience building brand awareness and support internally
  • Experience with WordPress, Google Analytics, SEO, and the top social media channels
  • Compensation is commensurate with experience.
