Job Summary and Qualifications

The Radiology Director is responsible for leading the daily operations for all services supplied under the umbrella of Radiology Services, which includes CT, NM, MRI, US, VASC, X-RAY, SPECIAL PROCEDURES, IRU and PATIENT TRANSPORT. They are also responsible for department compliance with all regulatory and accrediting bodies. Collaboration and facilitating strong relationships with radiologists as well as facility and community partners is a priority.

• Maintain employee satisfaction through effective communication, staff involvement, special events, recognition, etc.
• Maintain excellent patient satisfaction through effective leadership, education, staff education use of AIDET and other tools as provided.
• Review and maintain radiology policies and procedures.
• Maintain regulatory compliance as dictated by State, Federal and other regulatory bodies.
• Manage daily staffing and productivity levels within established limits.
• Maintain adequate staffing levels to provide quality service.
  
• Maintain good working relations with other hospital departments.
• Complete daily tasks timely.
• Complete and report Quality indicators as required.
• Attend scheduled meetings as required.
• Represent the radiology department at special functions as required.
• Maintain licensure in at least primary field of practice.
  
• Maintain current CPR for Healthcare Providers.

What qualifications you will need:

• Bachelor’s Degree
• 5 years previous supervisory experience in radiology or related field
• Licensed by the Louisiana State Radiologic Board Preferred
• Current CPR for Healthcare Provider required
