Overview:
ViaPath is currently seeking a Director, Marketing & Communications to join our team. The Director will lead and oversee the planning, management and execution of the Company’s marketing and communications activities including creating a consistent brand experience; strategically positioning and successfully creating brand awareness; creating desire and demand for products, services, and capabilities; providing resources to effectively market and communicate in regional and local markets across the country; and promoting growth strategies in alignment with company goals. The Director will also lead the execution of communication strategies to inform and inspire employees.

The Director will initially provide leadership and oversight on all aspects of marketing activity that has been outsourced to the Marketing PR firm, while actively engaging and performing marketing and communications actions that aren’t outsourced. The Director will be responsible for working on a variety of highly visible, impactful projects often have competing deadlines.
Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute innovative and insightful marketing strategies for quality customer acquisition, retention, and growth with deep consideration of the customer engagement and the customer experience
  • Responsible for all marketing communications including branding, media, public relations, advertising, events, direct marketing, online marketing, content, creative services, analytics, and social media
  • Develop and implement marketing strategies that enhance brand and champion brand identity
  • Oversee product marketing initiatives, including the creation of marketing content materials, development of communication strategy, and identification of appropriate marketing channels
  • Embraces trends and technology to create an impactful digital presence with innovative content and marketing campaigns for the website, social media, collaborations, and partners
  • Lead the marketing operations, and manage the Marketing team and vendors with strong deliverables, clear accountability and measurable output
  • Ensure strong collaboration and communication within the team and cross-departments
  • Direct market research collection, analysis, and insight for data driven strategies
  • Work closely with sales team to align strategies and day-to-day execution
  • Provide brand and marketing thought leadership across the organization
  • Monitor market trends and competition to devise the right strategies and tactics to stay current
  • Develop and implement an integrated strategic communications plan to inform and empower employees regarding the company’s vision, goals, and strategies
  • Support leadership team and corporate departments on messaging relating to company goals and strategies, organizational changes, business and industry outlook, and other related topics
  • Define a media and PR strategy that develops new, and maintains existing, relationships to broaden external awareness of our products and programs
  • Develop and deploy internal communications strategy to include employee intranet, email and other internal communication channels
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, communications, or related discipline preferred. Additional related experience may be considered in lieu of degree
  • Minimum of 10 years of marketing experience working positions taking on increased responsibility
  • 5+ years of marketing leadership experience
  • Experience developing and implementing marketing strategies, new marketing campaigns
  • Significant experience building a data-driven, performance "marketing machine" that will continue drive growth, conversion, and retention at scale
  • Consumer marketplace company experience, preferably working across consumers and businesses at a product-driven company
  • Experience leading marketing strategy in a fast-paced, evolving environment
  • Successful track record of leveraging data and analytics to improve targeting and conversion across the funnel and ultimately increase ROI
  • Ability to translate offline brand vision to any channel with flawless and consistent execution
  • Must have strong skills in strategy, planning, media budgeting and buying, P&L management and vendor relations
  • Proven leadership and team management skills derived from having direct responsibility for building and managing a cohesive, high-performing team
  • Candidate must have the ability to function as a senior strategist with other vital members of the executive management team
  • Creative, diplomatic, calm under pressure, and strong interpersonal skills
