Global Health Link provides a variety of 245D services, Housing stabilization services, ICS apartments, ARMHS, PCA services, and Assisted Living services to individuals that receive waiver benefits through Medical Assistance. We also have additional services starting in 2023 such as 24 hr crisis line, Supported Employment, Positive Supports, and Relocation Services. We are looking for qualified individuals who can work with people with Mental Health diagnoses and support them in the role of a Direct Support Professional.
If you have personal or professional experience supporting individuals with Intellectual Disabilities, we may have the job for you! We are looking for DSP's that have a passion for helping others, love empowering individuals to reach their goals, and who always put the person served first. The Direct Support Professional plays a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of the individuals that live in our apartment settings.

Shifts: Full Time and Part Time shifts at our three locations:

*Immediate need for Weekend shifts Mornings 7am-3pm and Afternoons 3pm-11pm

Columbia Heights, Fridley and Minneapolis

• Morning 7am - 3pm
• Afternoon 3pm - 11pm
• Awake Overnight 11pm - 7am

Duties and Responsibilities:

Direct Support Professionals are responsible for assisting individuals with their day-to-day activities. Each individual we support has varying abilities and interests, so responsibilities may vary based on their needs.

• The individuals we serve require support and encouragement to reach their hopes, dreams, and goals.
• Most of the individuals require assistance with medication administration and supervision.
• Direct Support Professionals are required to ensure that assigned tasks and other preferred activities are supported throughout their shift and done in a person-centered way.
• Communication with other DSP's and supervisors is a must, as is documenting the events of the day.

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Experience working with individuals with Mental Health Diagnosis/ Intellectual Disabilities.
• Passion for helping individuals and a person-centered approach to service delivery.
• Must pass a Background Study
• Valid Driver's License

• Morning 7am - 3pm

• Awake Overnight 11pm - 7am

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Required)

Experience:

• Direct Support: 1 year (Required)
• Medication Administration: 1 year (Preferred)
• Deescalation experience (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• Driver's License (Required)
