AGCO is currently seeking a Sustainability Controller to join our Financial Reporting team in Duluth, GA. The Sustainability Controller will work in a fast-paced environment in a high visibility role for a Fortune 300 company. Responsibilities will span across the Finance organization, working closely with the ESG group, Finance, Legal, Internal Audit, Investor Relations, and others.


What you will do:

  • Work with the ESG team, Finance and Legal to develop AGCO’s reporting strategy and lead the Company’s efforts and be the point of contact at a leadership level on ESG matters for the Finance organization.
  • Responsible for ESG reporting integrity and assurance including data, goals, commitments and KPIs and develop an expertise on ESG trends, frameworks, and regulatory requirements to advise management and work with the ESG team on operational plans, reporting strategy and metrics.
  • Keep up to date on the ESG landscape, understand new and/or changed requirements, and ensure all relevant groups are updated regularly.
  • Work in conjunction with the ESG team to conduct impact assessments and develop programmatic data-driven insights and research to inform strategic decisions and thought leadership.
  • Lead the implementation of new disclosures that are expected to be required worldwide by various regulatory organizations.
  • Ensure that the Company develops and maintains an effective system of internal controls, including working with Internal Audit, and further enhance our system capabilities, refine our ESG governance structure, continuing to ensure our ESG data is of the highest quality.
  • Work with AGCO’s Sustainability Team to develop and drive the agenda ensuring that all functions within the Company develop and meet their respective action plans in support of the Company’s overall ESG initiatives and commitments.
  • Ensure that ESG-related commitments and investments are supported by detailed analysis and action plans which are integrated into the Company’s operational and financial planning processes.
  • Influence and interact with senior executives and key stakeholders, assessing the need to obtain audit assurance over certain metrics.
  • Represent AGCO in various forums covering ESG reporting and initiatives.
  • Present to senior leadership regarding status and progress across a broad range of internal stakeholders.


What you will bring:

  • Bachelors’ degree in Finance, Accounting or equivalent
  • 10+ years of strong finance background, experience in ESG and/or financial reporting, processes, internal controls, systems
  • Strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy
  • Ability to react to changes quickly and handle pressure.
  • Previous experience working in complex environments and driving change and continuous improvement.
  • Robust quantitative and analytical skills
  • Effective influencing, collaboration, oral and written communication skills
